October Parent Communication Blog

News & Updates Oyster Festival Education Day is Thursday, October 31st. Because of the field trip, 7th graders should not wear costumes that day. Students should wear closed-toed shoes and bring a jacket or sweatshirt because it can be cool near the water.   Signed permission slips should have been returned by Tuesday, 10/29. There is no school on Friday, November 1st. Tuesday, November 5th is the end of the first Quarter!  Look for Report Cards to come home on November 12th.     Homework/News from Teachers Jones: Advanced Science- We have begun a new unit on DNA and Heredity.  Study your notes. Life Science- Study plant cell structures and organelles.  Be able to compare   and contrast plant cells and animal cells. Our next "Ketchup and Pickles" day is Tuesday, October 29th.  Ask your child about this! Hall: Perry LA+:  Students should read for 20 minutes each night. Quarter 1 IR Projects were due Wednesday, October 30th. If students
